I changed my life recently, and started to take steps towards my long-term goals. I'm in a relationship thats healthy for once, and I'm working to save money. I just want to change things on the outside also.

Hair cuts, clothing, anything. Have any ideas on where to start? I've never been very girly, but I'm thinking I would like to be :\

Just a shot in the dark here but does anyone know a recipe for a good Chicken Enchilada soup? I had one at a party and they kept saying it was chicken tortilla soup I know it was NOT cause it was nothing like chicken tortilla soup. It tasted like an enchilada.
Thanks :)

Random I know but I'm craving it now (it's cold and raining)

Merry Christmas!!!

various beauty tips... share yours, too, please.
i posted in here a while back that i discovered that neosporin will make my zits go away. i also use tea tree oil sometimes, too, and that works wonders, but it doesn't work for everyone. it's best i think for people with mild acne.

i got this stuff when i got my last couple of tattoos. it's a little tin of salve made from all kinds of things including lavender oil (my favourite). it's fantastic stuff. i use it for everything. it works on little cuts, i use it as chapstick, and it's wonderful for tattoo healing. you might check with some of your local tattoo shops to see if any of them carry it. i think my tin was like $5. it lasts for a really really long time. the tin i had first just ran out more than a year after i bought it.

i have extremely dry feet and i have to scrape the dead skin off every couple of weeks, and slather them in either vaseline or vitamin e oil or something equally lasting and moisturizing. then i put on socks and go to bed. it's a wonderful trick, especially when performed immediately following a bath or shower.

weight loss plan.
okay, after having two kids, it's time i get back to my desired size. i know some of you out there are wanting to lose some weight, too, so my idea is for this to be a support group of sorts. we can share photos of our progress, good recipes, and general support. i want to do this over a 3 month period and see where it goes. if you're game, just comment here and we'll start regularly posting our progress here.

my stats:
height: 5'7"
current weight: 155
goal weight: 125
lbs to go: 30

i'm going to try to do a regular weigh-in, and take photos every couple of weeks to see if there is any noticeable progress. feel free to share as much as you want. i hope some of you will do this with me.

tips please
I live in Florida and I want to send a CD to New York and I'd like to know if any of you have any recommendations on what size envelope packaging I should send it in and how much it would cost. Also, any of you know how to put files from Limewire on the itunes playlist? Or know how to burn a CD w/limewire files using itunes, limewire, or Windows Media Player. I really appreciate the help guys and gals. Thanks much.

I got this in an email....hope everyone enjoys...lol

Try this and see how far you can keep this drunk man up. Good Luck!

You just move you mouse left to right (no clicking) to keep him walking in a straight line.

The object of the game is to keep him walking, without falling over, by moving your mouse from left to right or right to left - you can't see your mouse, which makes it more difficult.

Apparently the record is 82 meters! Love the sound effects. It's in German.

Anyone know any good books to read? I just finished the Da Vinci Code and loved it. I heard another book by Dan Brown 'Angels and Demons' was really good too.

Any other suggestions?

A Hammer?
The Vatican's chamberlain, now Cardinal Eduardo Martinez Somalo of Spain, verifies the papal death -- which in the past was done by striking the pope's forehead with a silver hammer. The chamberlain, or camerlengo, then calls out to the pope three times by his baptismal name. When the pope does not respond, the camerlengo then announces "the pope is dead."

Wow, I never knew that. You would think with modern medicine nowadays that they wouldn't have to hit you in the head with a hammer to tell that you were dead.

easy jello pie
I made a pie to take over to our hostess' house for Easter and thought I'd share the recipe. Its good for anytime, really..even if you want a midnight snack..and it's low-cal as well!

You will need:
2 packages of the 4 serving per pack of sugarfree jello (any flavor)
ice cubes
1 1/2 cups of boiling water water
1/2 cup of cold water
1 graham cracker pie crust
1 8 oz. tub of fat-free cool whip
2 medium-sized bowls

1. pour both packages of the jello into 1 bowl
2. stir in boiling water until jello is dissolved
3. add enough ice cubes to make the 1/2 cup of water rise to the 1 1/2 cup mark, add to gelatin. Stir until icecubes are completely dissolved.
4. Remove 2 cups of the gelatin, place in a small bowl and refrigerate for 5 minutes
5. Meanwhile, using the leftover gelatin (the bowl you didn't refrigerate), add 2 cups of the cool whip to it. Stir with wire whisk until thoroughly combined. I had only a negligent amount of cool whip leftover and just threw it away.
6. Take the other bowl of gelatin out of the fridge and spoon into the pie crust.
7. Put both the pie crust that now has gelatin in it and the bowl with the cool whip mixture in it into the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
8. Take both out and carefully spoon cool whip mixture on top of the gelatin in the pie crust
9. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving, serves 8.

This should be the end result:

My Friend sent me an email today:

Hey Steve,
I wanted to tell you that I saw you on TV last night. Well it was a picture of you. I'm not sure when it was taken. They were doing a segment on CNN for the organization called anysoldier.com. I'm not sure if you have heard about it but someone can donate like $25 and this company will send out a box of goodies to the soldiers. It was a picture of you and two other guys standing behind this small box on a table and smiling and I think one of you were giving a thumbs up.

-I have no idea how they got a picture of me. lol

I am really in the mood to watch Garden State and The Notebook (two of my favorite movies)

Has anyone in here heard of The Toadies? Just curious

i discovered this
last night, i got this idea to put neosporin on my zit. i thought, "well, it's antibiotic and it heals wounds, so why wouldn't it work on pimples?"

it actually does. today, the thing is much less red, and is close to healed. :D
